My sister and I had a nice "sister's quilt retreat" - just the two of us. First time we have ever taken a trip together. We took quilty stuff and everything else we needed to spend 3 days & 4 nights in a cabin at Mt. Nebo State Park. We enjoyed having a fire in the wood heater each evening and there was still a lot of fall color. I was able to cut out all the pieces for my "Pink Breeze" and my sister worked on various projects including a Christmas stocking for her newest grandson. Since I have been back home, I have been working on my Pink Breeze and finished the top Wednesday afternoon. It appears that my seam allowances were a bit small (although everything seemed to match up as it was supposed to do) because the top was 2" longer and wider than it was supposed to be - if I figured accurately. Then using the leftover triangles from trimming the pink corners on each block, I was able to add a sawtooth border to the outside. I only had to make 10 extra HST's. It now measures 90" X 102". My hubby has already claimed it and I still have to mark the top and quilt it. I should have closed the blinds before taking the pics.
