ROW QUILT - IN PROGRESS

I'm having a lot of fun with this row quilt - So glad Sharon got us started on this.  I changed blocks for a couple of rows and I'm about to run out of background fabric - that's when I'll really have to get creative to figure out how to finish this using whatever fabric I have on hand (hopefully).  My resolution to use us some of my stash has been working pretty good so far this year.  So far I think my favorite row has been the houses.  The six rows in the pic have not been sewn together yet.   And the houses don't even have the sashing and end pieces.   I'll add these to the 4 completed rows later on.  I substituted chicken hens for the mittens and hearts for the leaves.

I've finished the quilting on my miniature whole cloth "cross" quilt that I'm making for my daughter.  Now I'm in the process of doing the trapunto work using the needle and yarn technique.  I sure hope it looks good when it's finished.   I'll try to take a photo then - rather hard for me to photograph white on white!

This time next week our spring retreat will be history.  And I'm already planning for fall!

  1. This is beautiful. I love the blue background. It makes it so different.

I haven't sewn at all since Tuesday. But we had a good visit with my brother in law. And a lovely bike ride up to the lodge and visiting with friends.

But this week I have to get with it. I am not even close to ready for retreat on FRIDAY.. Goodness I am excited. :)

    See ya tomorrow night.

  2. This is so nice! I want the directions for the hearts. The leaf row is the only row I didn't like on my original one and would like to replace it.
